About us

Work Hounslow are the Careers, Enterprise and Employment services for Hounslow Council.

We are here to support our community’s growth. We provided targeted support residents aged 18 and over who are unemployed and have the right to work, helping them explore good-quality jobs, training or volunteering opportunities. This support is designed for residents who need extra help accessing opportunities and services, including those with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) and those who have been in care. From their first meeting with employment advisors to developing career plans, preparing applications and landing a job, we provide guidance every step of the way. We also work closely with local businesses and organisations to create meaningful pathways for residents who have experienced barriers to employment, building local talent and promoting an inclusive and diverse working environment.

We also partner with local businesses, including small and medium sized companies.

We also help to improve their productivity by finding local candidates and building an inclusive, diverse working environment.

By doing this, we are working to strengthen our local economy and help it thrive.

In 2023, the Council’s Lifelong Learning, Skills and Employment division – Work Hounslow, Learn Hounslow and Hounslow Connexions achieved the Department for Education's (DfE) matrix Standard. This is an international recognition for delivering high-quality information, advice and guidance (IAG) for young and adult residents living in the borough.
